Adventus (Arrival)

Fanfare for brass and percussion.

A short dramatic fanfare. The Adventus was a ceremony in ancient Rome where an emperor was formally welcomed into a city after a military campaign. Commemorative coins were sometimes minted in honor of the royal entry. Winner, Dallas Winds Fanfare Competition. Premiered at the Meyerson Symphony Center, Dallas, September 2018.
